“No foal no fee” arrangement in the spotlight as Revenue lawsuit goes to the Supreme Court
When the Revenue Commissioners took on Dublin landlord Paul Howard for alleged unpaid tax debts of over €2.3 million, the result was a slamdunk. The legal proceedings were fast-tracked into the commercial division of the High Court and summary judgment was granted in April 2022. An assessment was also upheld by the Tax Appeals Commission against Howard’s partner Una McClean for unpaid dues of €599,541 plus interest covering the tax years 2002 to 2014 inclusive.
