Members of the Wexford haulage dynasty Nolan Transport are facing a €20 million damages claim, having lost key strands of their labyrinthine lawsuit alleging a multi-million euro fraud on their pension fund. Those proceedings, involving multiple defendants and a global money trail extending to Panama, Hong Kong, Singapore, Switzerland and the Isle of Man, have been described in a new ruling by Justice Michael Twomey as “one of the longest and most complex pieces of litigation before the courts”.
